PCC ELECTS A NEW MODERATOR- Rev. Miki Hans

The Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC) has a new leader at its helm. Rev. Miki Hans has been elected as the 7th Moderator of the PCC during the 2024 Synod of Assurance on Monday November 18,2024. His election marks a significant milestone in his distinguished ministerial journey, characterized by dedication, academic excellence, and service to the church.

Born on November 13, 1966, in Tombel, Rev. Miki Hans is a native of Meta in the North West Region of Cameroon. He began his theological journey at the Presbyterian Theological Seminary (PTS) in 1993, graduating in 1997 with a Diploma in Theology. Following his graduation, he was posted to Kembong Parish in the Mamfe Presbytery. 

 

A few years later, Rev. Miki Hans returned to PTS to further his studies and earned a Bachelor of Theology degree in 2003. He was subsequently appointed Presbyterial Treasurer for Mamfe Presbytery and Parish Pastor for the Egbekaw congregation. Through dedication and hard work, he rose to the position of Presbyterial Secretary for Mamfe and served as Parish Pastor for PC Mamfe Town. 

 

In pursuit of academic excellence, Rev. Miki Hans enrolled in the Master of Theology programme at PTS Kumba, graduating in 2008 with a specialization in Systematic Theology. Upon completion, he was posted as Presbyterial Secretary for Fako South and Parish Pastor for PC Beach Limbe. Later, he was transferred to East Mungo South, where he served as Presbyterial Secretary and Parish Pastor of PC Bonamousadi. 

 

During his time in East Mungo South, he was appointed Direct Partnership Secretary for the PCC, further showcasing his leadership and administrative skills. In 2019, Rev. Miki Hans was elected Synod Clerk of the PCC, a position he served with distinction. 

 

Rev. Miki Hans is married to Mrs. Viviane Afor Miki, and together they are blessed with four children. Today, he begins his journey as the 7th Moderator of the PCC, bringing a wealth of experience, faith, and dedication to his new role.
